The GED (General Educational Development) test is the most widely recognized high school equivalency credential in the U.S., administered by GED Testing Service. It has 4 separate subject tests, roughly 225-250 questions in total across about 7 hours of testing time. Each subject is scored on a 100-200 scale, with 145 as the passing mark per subject.
Each of the 4 GED subjects is a separate test with its own pass mark, so a weak subject can't be offset by a strong one elsewhere. Practicing in the same proportions as the real content specifications builds familiarity with exactly where the real test spends its time, not just general subject familiarity.

About the real test
The GED has 4 separate subject tests, each scored and passed independently: Reasoning Through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Science, and Social Studies. A weak subject can't be offset by a strong one elsewhere.
Social Studies leans heavily on civics and government
Half the Social Studies test is civics and government, per the official content specs. It's the single highest-leverage area to study in that subject.
Math is majority algebra, not arithmetic
About 55% of Mathematical Reasoning is algebraic problem solving, more than basic quantitative skills. Don't under-practice equations, expressions, and graphing.
Reading passages are mostly informational, not fiction
75% of RLA reading passages are informational (science, social studies, workplace documents), only 25% are literary. Practice accordingly.
